Rich Harvest

Look at the smile

That farmer put on a face for a while

When the green field shows the rich yield

The joy on the face is held

 

Look at the happiness

That earth reflects

In giving rich grains

After the farmer has sweated with labour and pain

 

Cyclone tried its level best

The monsoon too tested the ground

But the earth had found

A means to store water in-ground

 

The farmer who feeds us all

He has a lot more to reveal

And feel satisfaction within 

To be seen by all 

 

I salute farmer

Who has laboured hard!

Now we to have to hear his word

And the whole of the world has to look forward.
