Reunion
Reunion
A full moon, a quiet night
She walked on the wet sands
Cool breeze gently stroking her face
Her loose hair hastening to kiss her lips.
Her heart breathed in the familiar scent
A little like sulfur, or was it briny?
He hummed her name, beckoning her
His resonance never failed to turn her on.
She undressed and ran towards him
He engulfed her fiercely
They mingled, he drenched her in excitement
Crests and troughs, they rode together.
She walked back home in ecstasy
And fell asleep, with windows open
As the sun woke up, she opened her eyes
She heard him crashing on the shore.
She walked out of her beach house
There he was, lying in wait
He stole her heart, a long time ago
She came back every summer, as promised.
Crashing of waves, the saltwater
There is something special about the sea
Another night, another reunion.
