Redemption
Redemption
Oh! My heart burns with despair,
As a taunting voice approaches my doorway,
Yearning for peace my soul burns and greys,
As I shatter into pieces, beyond repair.
That face I see; then examine,
A smirk on those lips,
Those malicious eyes,
A devil in disguise; after my own lies.
And so it begins!
The guilt intensifies,
Overwhelming me with its burden; taking away every ounce of my sanity,
And unfurling the storm of my remorse and sin.
I wear my façade with fear,
Trying to run away from it all,
From the shadows of lies, revenge, secrets and deception,
Towards the glowing light of Redemption.
From Redemption I beg;
I beg for Mercy,
I beg for Peace,
I beg for my Soul,
Which the devil took away from me.
Finally it comes!
The moment of truth,
And Redemption replies,
" If it is Redemption you wish for, atone first,
First right all the wrong,
First reconcile with your better part,
Do not inflict pain upon yourself or others,
But spread around happiness to everyone. "
