Tragedy

Rain Woes

Rain Woes

1 min
120

Cascading rain you scurry for shelter

You watch the rain and the overflowing drain

Soon the floods and potholes become the roads

Commuters are full of woes, and labourer struggles with their load.

In the countryside flooded rivers run spate

Villagers await relief and curse their fate

Year after year what ‘governonsense' is this?

Ministers and bureaucrats live in a state of bliss.

Vanarsena playing musical chairs made the news on the front page

Floods and woes of citizens go to the middle page.

Lacking planning and foresight budgets get spent

With these repeated floods wonder to whose pocket the money went.
