PUPPY DOG
PUPPY DOG
When she first entered the house
Clutched tightly in his loving arms
So delighted was she, filled with dreams
Every second he played only with her
There was no day or night or any limit
Drowning in his love like this always
She did not realise that time flew
Now she was no more a baby, an old dog,
Now as she hungrily waits for him
He is too busy to pay even attention
She runs to him, her longing eyes begging
He pushes her away, indifferently with his feet
As she still waits, with an undying hope
His married wife sits at the window still
Her vacant eyes staring, at the open sky
Her eyes, are dry, without any expectation
