Who controls you, human? But are you one even?

You petite puppet, a dummy with the ‘quist.

Getting pulled by your strings, of your inner demon.

Oh you do fancy, the manipulator’s fist.

What control, you ask, for you do not know?

You think you are in the driver’s seat.

The masters of puppets are above, having the boat’s row.

Twitching and steering you away, as you bleat.

Doing what’s expected of you, you think you win?

Putting on a show for the mighty.

Master’s hands are dirty, but it is your sin.

Doing it all, living and dying for the sleighty.

Those powerful above, you think they’re at the peak?

They too are puppets and dummies, like you and me.

They are all, but lesser than you, fragile and weak.

Like the mightier above them, an unending chain, if you see.
