I Found You
I Found You
As I travel, take this journey called life,
I come to know of all the strife
Required to live this through,
And the lies I thought were true
All my beliefs were slayed, cut through with a knife
I knew the corrupts exist, but not that they were in such a rife
Hate they had, hate they grew
Hate was their aim, hate they strew
Not taradiddle, plain open conspiracies, mind you!
I lost my senses, I already had only one small slice
As I looked closer, even that had been eaten thrice
I’ll never trust anyone, I heard myself say
That promise to myself, I did hold until that day
When as a happy interlude, I found someone, you!
My trust recurred – I was ecstatic, but oh, the time just flew
I’m glad we met and will always be
For the friend I’ve found in you, the one I’ll always long to see.
