Pots

Pots of clay, pots of brass,

Pots of silver, pots of glass,

Pots for cooking, pots for tea,

Pots for planting, pots for me.

Some are big, some are small,

Some are short, some are tall,

Some are painted, some are plain,

Some are used again and again.

Pots to hold water, pots to hold sand,

Pots for flowers, pots for the land,

Pots to store things, pots to display,

Pots to use every single day.

Pots can be beautiful, pots can be rough,

Pots can be fancy, pots can be tough,

But no matter what they look like or do,

Pots are important and useful too.

So let's appreciate the humble pot,

For all the things it has and has not,

And let's remember, as we go about,

That pots, like us, can be inside-out.
