Last night a dark cloud rose.
It rumbled like thunder storms.
Under the bed couldn’t seek comfort.
For hades’ doors opened there.
Where does my salvation lie?
There in the dark, death stood.
Fire filled eyes fixed at me.
Fear matched the shores of my soul.
Is this how it will end?
Has my departure day come?
Silence suddenly took over.
The dark swallowed by the light of the moon.
Lightening rose in my defense.
It was not time yet.
The sound of silence calmed all.
Why had I been spared?
Why does death dance far?
Why hide behind the shell of darkness?
Answers far, can’t reach them.
Everyone speaks but nothing comes out.
I am on the journey.
The destination I know not.
A traveler under the sun.
Hope one day I shall learn,
The reason why I awake every morning.
