Paper Friend
Paper Friend
Friend, this yoke is strictly for me!
Though mightily heavy, yet a joyful burden
I alone must carry;
If you love me, then let me be
Don't weep for me, nor lift for me
Don't even try to hold my feeble knees.
O my lovely brother! why does thou even bother?
For my trip to the feast of wolves and dragons is never suicidal.
Don't come with me, just wait a little longer
For I'll return alive, stronger, and better
Because I am a fighter.
O my friend, my paper Friend!
You'll be doing me mischief trying to dry my tears.
You weep for me, 'cos you thought I'd sink
You were too myopic to see that life has taught me to swim in a boisterous sea.
