Our Father : An Epitome of Honesty

Sri Narendra Kumar Topadar, a retired officer under the Central Government,
Is an example of utmost honesty.

We have observed him (during his service period),
Never accepting bribes in any form
Or any gifts in cash or kind
(Offered by any self-centered person 
To gain support or favour for his or her own profit).

He, being very confident and service-oriented,
Never surrendered
At the altar of wrong pressure or power!

His life is a symbol of sincerity 
And selfless service as a common man
Sans any vanity as an officer 
While in the chair and at present, too!
He never polluted our mind with
His official power...
He never used his official vehicle in his whole service life!
He happened to commute towards office 
On his special Atlas Bicycle every 
Monday to Saturday without fail!
I am proud enough to use that bicycle
During my College years at Doom Dooma, district Tinsukia, Assam.
So, I, too, am blessed with his down-to-earth nature
That was also continued by me, his eldest son...!
Same has been continued by
My younger sister Banashree and younger brother Victor.
Our mother Smt. Swapna Topadar, too has been ever following
His exemplary embodiment of honesty...
That's how our father forms his 
Living legacy of glorifying honesty
By dint of his hardwork and inner engeneering!

His surprising bonding
With the rickshaw-pullers, cart- pullers, menial workers
And barbers and so forth,
Made him a favourite person
Among the masses.

We, three siblings,
Have been inspired by
His classic example of relentless dedication and expertise!
His contribution towards his co-workers
And his kindness towards the 
Errors of his subordinates
Made him blessed with
The sufferers ultimate relief from problems...

Yes, Mr. Narendra Kumar Topadar 
Is a man of letters --
A generous, amiable, genuine gentleman
Who never compromises with 
Any person of Illegal mindset.
He always strongly stands up 
Against corruption of the society 
And the people's escapist mindset!

He respects the Government of the people!
He casts his Vote to the most eligible candidate 
Without any second thought.
He is an octogenarian with an active brain, body, mind and soul!
We salute our Father for all his
Living legacy and unique standpoint per excellence!!!
