ORPHAN DAY
ORPHAN DAY
It is raining...good.
Mine and the Heaven's, blend away.
Gather your flesh, bones and blood,
It's the start of another orphan day.
Fetch some hope, just in case
Walk the trench a mile wide.
Visage etched with empty smile,
Looming abyss deep inside.
A vessel for some turbid thoughts
A lending hand, every time
All the while longing for
Something that cannot be mine.
Zephyr...then clouds...then rain again
Melody, both sweet and bitter.
Million pieces weld together
That were scattered hither and thither.
The world is now silent. Usually so.
Unlike the turmoil a little while ago.
A part of which still boils within,
Against the backdrop of a silent din.
Another orphan day, almost dead.
Amber embers, shrouded head.
The ash glowing.. yellow.. bright.
Remaining soul, still alight.
The end is near, alluring dark
With few strands of light, led astray.
Melancholy rocks me asleep
Envisioning another orphan day.
