Old Togetherness

Those old letters, and flapped pages, still proclaim our togetherness,

Those unattended scars and unheard laughter, still Feature that everything was never a mess,

My heart still skips a beat like cess,

Alas, at times, moments lead to guess.

I wonder do you even remember me,

Or I'm just out of your sight?

Ignored by choice, or chosen by ignorance,

It stuffs happiness with might.

That was when, lonely nights adorned me more,

Darkness was, I swear I loved them to the core.

Hoping to be yours was the only dream, that was left to be yearned for,

Ironically, "Love in the air" concept, was no more.

I am not the best you can get,

But I'm surely better than the rest,

And then if you talk about that nest,

It's all shattered by life's test.

If I was wrong, you were also not absolutely right,

If you tried, I also tried for things that were intensely tight.

If I had attributes, you were not too behind ,

But then, all in vain.

Listen, I have seen that cold coffee fighting for its old companion,

That red rose, and obligatory love lien,

My messy hair, to be settled by you,

And this forehead weeping for your careful kisses,

So it matters but of course not to you.

Time will heal, I used to utter,

Rather time will scream, with knife and butter.

Confessions and corrosion, cooperated though,

You too, are far, was the ultimate blow.

A happy life I always desired for, the darkless nights, you served me for.

Hold on, come back, life is too short,

Because, I'm not that much strong to hold the breathe for long,

And so how does it makes a difference that, I LOVE YOU.....
