Not By Blood
Not By Blood
She had wept when being taken away
It was where her childhood lay
She thought it out twice
of staying back with lies
Her now family came in the scene
The lady spoke "don't you worry we aren't mean"
Her eyes now puffy vision blur
Still She tried beaming a smile at her
The lady gave her arms out
She sniffed in the hug with doubt
Glancing at the orphanage the last time
Bidding goodbye as she must've committed crime
Weeks passed of awkwardness
She was an emotional mess
The lady now mother came in
To ease her heart to make kin
"Don't cry my dear baby
Can I hug you may be?"
She embraced her close
And pinched her nose
"Listen to what I say
I need to know you a little everyday"
Relationships are not forced
It needs its own pace and course
Blood might not have tied us
But our feelings are just ceremonious
I might not be your mother by birth
But just being a mother gives me mirth
You are my child till I die
So let us cherish it and beautify
This is how relationships are
You needn't define them or set bar
They aren't chained by blood only
It needs love abundantly
Understanding, loving and caring
Hugs sobs and sniffles all of this makes
A good relationship work!
