Noah Again

Noah Again

Pity the birds that swooping call

Screeching - unheeded a warning to all

Who scurry

From man's final fall,

Pity the birds that swooping call.

If you're numbed with hesitation

Unprepared for radiation

Fallout will be your firework treat

Not a victor with a celebration,

If you're numbed with hesitation.

Everything dies out in the sun

Standing above having ended its run

No reason to hurry

There is no more fun

Everything dies out in the sun.

What could you do as the rivers run dry

When cracks in the dust make you question why?

And the trees, all burnt

Leave smoke in the sky,

What could you do as the rivers run dry?

Would you walk up to where water once roared in its race

To try all alone taking everyone's place

High springs of knowledge, if finally learnt

Answers everything changing your pace.

Would you walk up to where water once roared in its race?

Could you walk down and start, like Noah, again

Forgetting the mess, the loss and the pain,

Surviving in heat

Not the dampness from rain

Could you walk down and start like Noah again?
