Nirbhaya Bhabatu Varata
Nirbhaya Bhabatu Varata
A tearful tribute to ‘Nirbhaya’ and all other women who had been a victim of rape and violence and yet to receive justice. If we don’t stop this demon, none of our women - our mothers, our daughters, our wives or sisters – none of them are safe.
Slowly silently here they come.
And the voice deeps down,
As it chocks to mum
They start painting faces
With gloomy sheds of gray
A shrinking whisper just faded in ear
Did it offer a pray?
Stop it please! She begged her life
What’s the matter to cry?
Laugh, and laugh your heart full out
Oh! She’s bound to die
Death is not so easy - does it?
And was never so loud
Creeping down her tears to spine
Darken, drunken cloud
Slowly silently hear they come
She hear their steps beside
Splitting on her jittered soul
Sodden in virile pride
Now she takes a step forward
Crawling in heaven’s bed
Washing out all the sheds of gray
In the BLOODY RED
Your flesh is rotten
Your hands are wet
And your thoughts are about to die
In this filthy, lousy world
Your SILENCE, what you can’t defy!
Wake up! Oh, Dear! Dear Nation!
Your daughter’s being thrown in dump!
She’d the right to live like us!
And again, we’ve chocked to mum!
