Never Again
Never Again
You were beside me, right there,
Talking about everything, with nothing to spare.
You kept hope in me,
When I was nothing but a worthless weed.
Though you never talked to me directly,
Cheering me on, adeptly.
I was not brave enough, to face you,
but your very existence made pursue.
But only then, if I was brave enough,
I wouldn't be drowning in regret, but now I must.
I want to thank you,
I want to see you,
I want to...
I need to.
Only I can't.
Because the distance between us,
Can't be traveled through by a bus.
You could be a thousand milky ways away,
Or you can be right beside me, while I lay.
But I know that I can see you,
Never Again.
