Needy In Our Own Measured Ways
Needy In Our Own Measured Ways
Some need just a pinch of love,
Some need just a handful of money,
Some need just a cup of peace,
And some need just a pale of luxe and honey.
But we are more greedy in overfilling our trays,
And thus prove mean in our own justified ways.
Instead of listening to what one says,
We are more keen on counting the minutes on hearing one pays,
And bargaining the time of life for which one stays,
With the scales of emotions and the weights of aides and prays.
Yes, we are needy in our own measured ways,
This is how we graduate our years and our very counted days.
