Natural Poem

Naturalist John Muir and my love for trees inspired this poem. Muir's conservation efforts saved many forests and natural areas for all of us. While living in Alaska, I have seen the most beloved forests and scenery I have ever seen. Muir's quote on his Alaska trip describes something I've seen: "Fords and sound, tracing past forests and springs, islands and mountains, and shining ways through distant major islands, it seems certain. By form we must at length reach the poets' paradise, the abode of the blessed. "
