National Heroes
National Heroes
Let me lead you to that nation : 'The Golden Bird'.
Yeah!!! 'The Golden Bird'
Though it's no longer now,
But it's independent now.
Those days were horrible.
Those merciless hands made us feeble.
Savaged and uncultured,
Ruled on well cultured.
In a barbarous way,
Ruined, that came pathway.
sweet smile of kids;
Were newly germinated seeds,
Cruel claws smothered women' pious virginity,
Withered ; their evergreen beauty
They shattered our dignity, unity, fraternity, imposed their sovereignty.
Mangal Pandey was a beginner of protest,
The 1857 movement was fought with zest.
Rani Laxmi Bai, Tatya Tope and many more,
Everywhere was, revolt roar.
Uncountable sacrifice the nation bears,
Bereaved eyes had : tears.
Movements : Satyagrah, Non Cooperation, Quit India were freedom's base,
Enough to shake those scoundrels' base.
Bose, Gandhi, Bhagat Singh,
Gave Indians a hopeful wing.
Finally, the freedom we attain,
But with pain.
One nation was divided into two,
We gave those dividers our final adieu.
Many sung and unsung heroes' souls,
Acted as poles.
on which our nation's foundation stands,
to tribute them here, we attend.
