My Heart Tells Me

My Heart Tells Me

Your lies, I can see them rightly

Though you try to convince me

Of the possibility that contrary to the truth

There is an option that can be circled

You do have a way out, to acquit yourself

It is not a heinous crime for you

To cheat on my trust and murder

Yes murder my poor aspiring feelings

That though you were reliable

Unlike the other guys

My heart tells me not to believe you

My heart, which yesterday

Could blindly trust you out

But it does not want to go back on track

Track where you would hurt him again

As I look closely at how you embezzled

Behind, in my absence, the rights upon you

I gave mi

ne to you; you chose another girl

Sorry but, my heart refuses to

The leftovers of someone else

Neither a lifeless doormat

On which you would soil and rub your foot,

Any time you feel like you need to

Nor a step; I have my pride

I choose not to believe you

I circle out that I am walking away

I want to compensate you in case

You want to sue me in court

For breach of trust and contract

So here is it, a slap on your face

Oh if the remuneration is too low,

Tell me I can give you a few more

And for any complaint on behalf of

My customer service, go dial your mum’s number
