My Complaint
My Complaint
I keep hiding my complaint about your sadness, my beloved,
I keep consoling a heart filled with loneliness, my beloved.
You never seem to care about my condition, not even once,
Now I am turning to ashes in the fire of pain, my beloved.
I kept gazing at the dreams woven by your love,
Now I watch that palace of dreams crumble, my beloved.
Your union made the spring of love bloom within me,
Today I endure a desolation like autumn, my beloved.
Since the day you left, I have kept searching for you,
Calling out your name through the streets of the city, my beloved.
Will you and I ever meet again or not?
Yet I keep drowning in an ocean of hopes, my beloved.
My heart holds countless grievances, O “Murali,”
Still,
I shall spend my life waiting only for you, my beloved.
