Missing The Loved One
Missing The Loved One
I miss your smiling face,
You left me in the lurch and gave me pain
And went to seek the eternal grace.
That laughter of yours still rings in my heart,
Adding to my woes.
Your kindness and modesty set you apart,
From all your friends and foes.
You left behind a legacy of humanity,
And taught me what is love
Now, you have secured a place in divinity,
Watching me from heaven above.
Alas! You vanished from my sight,
A huge void engulfs me.
I have spent many a sleepless night,
Tormented by your memory.
Life can be so cruel at times,
And betray our misplaced trust.
Death is certain when the bell chimes,
Our body will turn to dust.
