Every night I sit at the window space

Into the dark night, I gaze

The monsoon rain had made the trees so drenched

The ones where I sat with my journal clenched

Looking for someone I didn't know

Thinking if they are friend or foe

The silence was broken by a dog's bark

That's when the night hit a spark

Remembering a dark man standing a block away

Didn't know where I should leave or stay

He waved his hands as if to say

That is very night is very gay

The moonlight started to appear on his face

And my heart beating at a fast pace

Just when his face was about to appear

That's when the man disappeared

I never saw the man after that night

Remembering him, my thoughts start to fight

Even though our meeting was temporary

That man is stuck in my memory
