Meghalayan Love!

Getting closer and closer to you,

it enamors me by the charms of dew.

Sun starts playing bopeep with cloud,

pines hide themselves with cold shroud.

Rain drips with it's frequent principle,

as if one sprinkles sky-petal.

The day begins with fountains' sound,

and ends with 'Khasi' smiles around.

The line of women with basket,

returning home coming from the market.

I lost myself in the midday,

through the hilly devious way.

And I found her standing there,

umbrella in hand, 'Jainsem' and red hair

like the fairy angel came here...
