Marital Rape Is Fine?

Shhh... shut up, he is your husband.

He was her husband.

He has the damn right to sexualize her every night;

He has the damn right to undress her every night;

He has the damn right to jump on her like a famished tiger every night;

He has the damn right to take care of the business

When she disagrees every night.

Everynight.

She confronts him.

She expresses her disgust. 

He simply mumbles that it is his damn right to do it every night.

She tried to speak up about this;

But,

 He was her husband and in our country,

Marital rape is fine.

We celebrate women's day with big bold speeches

And slogans to assert their importance.

We have been talking about abolishing slavery,

Article 377 and combating rape every day with several groups of people,

But still, marital rape is not an issue.

Marital rape is Fine.

Enough!

We are women, wife, mother, not an object.

We have to tell our women that they don't deserve this;

We have to tell our women that it is not right and this will never be fine;

We have to tell our women that their consent is our top priority,

No matter who the other person is;

We have to tell our women that they are important and they are worth it;

We have to tell our women that it's rape even if it's their husband.

It's rape if it's without consent,

It's rape and has no other name,

It's rape

And it can never be legal.
