Lying On The Deathbed

Lying on the death bed, expressionless.

Battles inside him go on.

With, 

Weary eyes, cold blood, 

Several grudges, plenty of gratitude, 

Innumerable wishes, all in vain, 

Familiar faces, strangling around. 

He thinks, 'Death played a tricky game indeed.'

He says, 'All live well.'

He wants to be with them. 

No matter how intense the hatred he had. 

The hope of living tempts him with old death on its way. 

As helpless and as rigid, 

His life span dances upon his eyes.

He shall embrace it soon, with arms enfolded.

Life was easy, death is not. 

His eyelids close, darkness eats the way, 

Takes him away with love he did not have,

Almighty waits to welcome him. 

His paradise, showering empathy.

He feels worse for the roads trouble him. 

This destination did not deserve him.....
