He promised to be loyal

But instead gave me betrayal

It was like an ultimate bestowal

For me being always so loyal.

Tragic right? I know!

And when he started his train of sorry

I looked at him in worry

Thinking that the word 'sorry'

Had no worth left.

Do you think 'sorry' solves everything?

Because it is not something you can just fling

It's not a healing balm

Which can give me calm.

The pain you inflicted on me

Is like thousands of knife

Stabbing right through my heart

Pushing me further and further into dark.

Those days and night

Have never been bright

Because my mind used to continuously recite

Those memories, promises and moments.

And in the end only one thought struck me

WHERE DID I GO WRONG?

Was it my love, my affection

Or was I not able to satisfy you

Tell me where I went wrong
