LOVE

It was love at first sight 

They met on a terrace 

He smiled she shied 

Soon knot they tied 

 But this love did not last 

With ways did they part 

She realized 

this was not love 

only Infatuation 

She cried 

Her eyes she dried 

He was tall !

He was dark! 

They all were in a carriage 

going to a marriage 

He kept his gaze away from her 

It was raining 

it was stormy 

the carriage skid over a rocky road, 

upturned and rolled 

Many were hurt, 

but none killed 

all found a strong foothold 

 He was tall 

He was dark 

He pulled up all 

and sat beside her for a breath

She felt the warmth

of his body. 

drenched in sweat 

covered with dirt 

bruised face 

their eyes met 

Now his gaze did not turn away from her 

Not a word 

but they spoke 

their silence conveyed 

each thought.

They both knew
