Lost In Your Light
Lost In Your Light
When everybody asked,
“Whom would you live by?”
I had no answer for many years.
Haven’t you met anyone?
I asked this question to myself too.
For me, nobody has come yet.
I walked between flowering trees, alone.
I have seen bonded wings,
Singing tunes of togetherness.
I saw hands held tight,
Walking with smiling eyes.
I walked alone,
Not to escape solitude,
But I talked to myself—
To the dear summer.
It was a peculiar day,but not so strange—
That bright blue cloudy world.
I met my heart in the embrace
Of a memory—that old country road.
It was pale, full of dust.
I saw you in that brightness—
Him, in a flash of lightning.
We touched with our eyes,
I felt him through soul.
He called, “You are—”
And I…
Lost in your light
