Abstract Children

Lost childhood

Lost childhood

I dream of swinging high on the playground again

I dream of being able to laugh with a friend

Of eating canteen Vada pav with that delicious sauce

Not going to school may not seem like a huge loss

But it is one, a loss of childhood moments that can never be gotten back

We are only young and yearning for fun, I wish life could cut us some slack

I'll even take some pop quizzes and written exams, this I vow

For anything beats the online segregated and camera monitored tests we have now

Yes, I dream of swinging high again on the playground

I miss having a childhood when this virus wasn't around
