Lockdown Life Lessons (A Poem)

Lockdown lockdown lockdown 

You don’t know what you are o lockdown 

You hold people in their homes 

You help people spend time with their loved ones 

You keep people stay safe and protected 

Lockdown lockdown lockdown 

You don’t know what you are o lockdown!! 

 

It is true that you have some drawbacks 

It is true that you keep people off from gatherings 

It is true that you keep children off from playgrounds 

It is true that you bring difficulty for daily wage earners to sell their stuff 

But it all for their own safety for their own well being. 

Lockdown lockdown lockdown 

You don’t know what you are o lockdown!! 

 

Though you may not last forever 

Though you would not bind everyone to their homes forever 

But then also you would be ever remembered 

For the one who kept people bind together for a common cause 

That is to prevent the spread of Coronavirus

In these four phases, you gave innumerable life lessons 

You taught people how to suffice in times of calamity 

You helped us to fight an epidemic
