Literacy- India's Phase
Literacy- India's Phase
This is the story of a child
-(EVERY SUCH CHILD)-
From a forsaken place,
Surmounted are his dreams.
His eyes are filled with hopes but,
There's a bit of fear in his soul.
His life is all shattered but,
He doesn't want his dreams to be
Abandoned just as this place.
All he desires to do is,
Not just look up at the sky but,
To look beyond the sky.
The sky that is concealed by-
The norms of the society,
That is restricted to-
The notes in one's pocket.
He wants to learn &
Being taught like all of us.
He's been learning things
From nature for now.
He's been learning things
That is practical right now.
He's been learning to be patient
To never lose hope.
He's trying to work harder
And to accomplish his goals.
He has a dream to learn,
Not just by exploring
The world barefoot but, in a uniform,
In a classroom, being provided
With real knowledge, in all.
He doesn't want access to technology,
Free gadgets or gas subsidies alone.
He wants free education
To be reached at every corner,
To every person who wants
To learn and gain knowledge
More and more.
He doesn't want the fundamental rights
Just for the sake of grasping knowledge.
He wants to exercise the Right of Equality,
Cultural and Educational Rights
And all of them mentioned.
He doesn't want to limit himself
To what he has, or restrict himself with
The services his family can afford to or
The society he belongs to.
He wishes to get an opportunity
Where he can try working for
The upliftment of this society,
Never letting any soul like his
To let their dreams fall-off the eyes
And get blown away by their destinies.
That's what is actually required.
To bring a smile on their faces,
Wings of freedom,
Satisfaction from the education system,
Inner peace,
And the accomplishment of their dreams.
