Hopeless World

It's too cruel of me to make you so sad,

When you lay down at night-

With all that guilt and regret.

Your anxiety creeps in,

Disappointments choke and,

Tears won't roll down,

But, there's a lump in your throat.

You say you don't cry,

And I hear you control.

You hide all the hurt and pain,

Under the blankets and pillow. 

I can't sleep tonight,

Thinking of all what you go through.

How you keep fighting & hiding,

You make it through all alone.

If you don't open your eyes tomorrow,

There's so much strength you've still left in you that's waiting to fight the odds.

Your mind is still not wanting to stop here,

Overthinking if something put an end to your heartbeats.

I mean no harm, but, I see you're hopeless.

I doubt if I'm amongst the one causing pain.

It's hard to believe,

Such a "toxic mess"

these heartbreaks create.

I've always been blamed,

I've always been belittled,

So I apologize and  anyways,

will take this blame.

I can read you like a book,

And understand what you're going through.

But, it does kill me,

When I still can't help you.

There's still a hope

Amidst the hopeless soul,

That enables to survive &

thrive these obstacles in life.

It's a fight of self &

Let me tell you,

You're stronger than you think you are.

You are not alone,

You're all by yourself.

In this world that seems so dreamy,

It hides the gloominess beneath it.
