Lightning

Lightning

In the dark clouds there lie,

Glints of lightning's wicked eye,

It shines and glows, does it lightning,

It's scary and frightening,

It comes when the rains at a high flow,

It casts a shiny and eerie glow,

It seems it can touch you though,

It never touches the ground high or low,

Its color is yellow,

It gives a threatening hello,

It causes people to scatter,

Their Shoes making a clatter,

When the rain goes pitter-patter,

Hurting people to it, it does not matter,

Safe from it we must be,

Never be in open ground or take shelter at a tree,

Its companion, the thunder,

Often makes you wonder,

How is it so loud,

The sound coming from the cloud.
