Light
Light

Under the floorboards,
It is ignored,
A body, torn
Beaten and worn,
Under duress the stress of a mess
Made with the heart of one thought of less
He can't breathe or beat his chest frequently
So he takes his time to write out a rhyme and
Finds a shimmer of light through the grime
Shredding and shedding the tears were embedded
Until finally unbroken he becomes outspoken and shows the ones
That told him he wouldn't see light, couldn't have been right.
