Life And Chess
Life And Chess
Life is a game of chess
To a strange eye, it always seems like a mess
You yourself are the King and even the Pawn
Every move you make has a reason
Some are oblivious of their own strengths
Some in the haste of control go to any lengths
The opponent for all is but one
Even with intricate moves, you miss out on the run
Perhaps the game you understand, isn't all to it
You are acquainted with what you made
One fine move and it all goes away
For a few it's early; for few a little late
But eventually, each one of us gets the deserving checkmate
