Letter To My Love

Letter To My Love

My Love;

I always knew

It was you

Who hid my anklet,

Under that blanket

Perplexed and disturbed

Of all that false stern

Your behavior apparently

Showed no concern

And when you gifted it back

Putting it in a new pack

How very shameless;

I thought were you!

Till I realised mine were rusted,

While these were new.

Seeing me in despair

You’d got me a new pair

You loved waking up to

Their tinkling sound

But for us fate beheld,

Grief profound

That unfortunate fall from the moving train

Left me crippled and you in a lifelong pain

With you by my side

Our endurance multiplied

Mishap like this, couldn’t turn it

A plain sheet;

True love wouldn’t so easily

Accept defeat.

Though with a limp

I still love to dance with you

I wear these anklets

On my Crutches just for you!
