Consciously set up to impress.

Condemned glances no more.

Cards hanging on the walls.

Christmas tree decorations all in place.

Creations made and given out.

Carving knife ready for the bird.

Couples cuddle and kiss.

Children unwrapping presents.

Cheers go up all around.

Cherishing life once but no longer.

Canceled for me this year and forever.
