Kidding Me
Kidding Me
With the bunch of exhilarated kids,
My heart always skids,
On one such evening conversation,
Unaware of their mental acceleration,
To spread some general awareness,
I scanned my neural networks, framed some questions,
Suitable for their acceptable fairness.
My approach was naive,
And theirs was grave.
When I asked "where is Red Fort", with a stern look,
One of them proclaimed in my "EVS book"
And that was not all
Quizzing them is a different game of bat and ball,
In an attempt to rest my case
I dared to check their base.
I enquired what is different about Mumbai and Delhi,
They looked at each other with answers in their eyes to tally.
A smart notch raised his hand, to reply "Mumbai has sea"
And one to follow declared "Delhi has D"
Though I was sitting on another side of the table,
I felt a little less sound and able.
What I learnt will stay with me forever
For their heart is gold and soul is silver
I announced everyone a clear winner.
