Judgement Of Paris

Judgement Of Paris

1 min
343

Eris threw the apple out of spite,

For they did not invite,

The goddess of discord,

In fear of disruption to concord.

Never did anyone conceive,

That chaos would be the gift they receive;

The goddess of strife let out a chuckle,

As she saw Olympus's king struggle.

Chosen was Paris by Zeus,

The prettiest was he to choose;

To him, was the world's beauty

Offered by Aphrodite.

Athena, the goddess of wit,

Offered him the gift,

Of wisdom and skill in war

And to have no one on par

Hera, queen of Olympus, offered to shower

him with political power.

Stunned by the beauty of the three,

Paris made his judgment based on fee.

Accepted was the offer made by Aphrodite,

To have the prettiest beauty by him,

Which inevitably led to the war of ten years

That was full of blood and tears.
