Liberty

Liberty

Wounded by the clutches of the outsider,

Surrounded by unfairness and obscurity.

Deep in the hearts, there formed a desire

To break free from the chain of cruelty.

Many raised their weapons;

Others raised their hands;

But all had one thing in their mind,

That is to have liberty of some kind.

Letting go of all their dreams

They dedicated their whole life

So that the future generation can dream

Thus they endured the guns and knives.

At last, our land became free of brit,

Owing to our fighters who made them quit.

'Civil disobedience', Mahatma had started.

In the end, the British departed.

The blood of the brave is soaked in our soil

Which will forever remember their toil.
