An Incomparable Bond!

A simple string actually comprises of a lot of promises,

It all gets transformed into tears when it’s on his wrist.

The promises are inexplicable, some are bizarre,

basically they’re uncountable to enlist!

It’s a relation that's simply irreplaceable,

It’s amazing, it’s classic,

Over the years it gets stronger and deeper,

and is indescribably fantastic!

Every sister longs for that one hug,

Be it from a soldier or from an NRI brother flying back home,

A hug which is filled with love & compassion,

brought directly from the boundary or from Rome!

Weeping and giggling does take place

even while exchanging glances on this day,

Be it in person, or on facetime, or with a martyr brother’s photo hung on the wall,

it’s always special and sentimental in every way!

A superhero; a punchbag; a companion,

he truly is an all-rounder.

He knows how to put your frown upside down,

and helps you out when he sees you flounder!

Rakhi comes only once a year,

So let’s celebrate this brother-sister bond,

Just keep all the annoyance aside,

And tell him that you love him till the ether and beyond!
