Irresistible Clutches
Irresistible Clutches
My hand toys at the idea
Of holding its wings.
Yet it flies away in the
Mist of the spring.
Its beautiful pink color
Brings me to life.
It's spotless smooth
Texture makes me thrive.
As the butterfly makes its
Way through the forest,
She meets the flowers and the
Trees that tell her she would fail.
She looks back and says,
“Maybe you should take some rest.”
At night her wings glitter like
An inflammable balloon.
I am glad she is out of the
Dark grim cocoon.
In the mind’s eye of me
Camera I capture her vibe.
I would never give you the
Picture, no matter what the bribe!
For she taught me to live
A life unresentfully,
As she emerged beautifully
From the irresistible
Clutches of a bullying past.
