Irony Of Equality
Irony Of Equality
All of us are born equal we’re taught
Yet a desperate battle by each individual is fought
Running in this life’s race
Everyone has their own pace
Equality is giving people the same opportunity
But each of us is facing a different reality
In our own way, we are all unique
Some dive into depths of oceans while some race to touch the peaks
Then why isn’t it ok to acknowledge the differences?
After all, every human evolves from distinct experiences
In efforts to give equal chances to everyone
The race is won by none
Making odds in someone’s favor
The flavor of victory is by no one savored
By creating various starting lines
Only a mismatched ground is designed
Where instead of efforts excuses prevail
No parity is found as contrasting are the measurement scales
So here’s the irony of equality
The more we try to level the field; it leads to increasing disparity…
