Horror

Into the night

Into the night

Lying on my bed just like every night,

There is something that'd give anyone fright,

There's a figure stalking outside

Looking inside from the gaps of shades

It stares & won't go away.

Want to turn the lights on,

But too scared to go on

It's the very thing that terrifies to the core

With protruding eyes, seems an alien being,

It's a horror show sending shivers down my spine.

The creature jumps off and it takes to flight,

I wanted to scream aloud, but that won't scare,

It was too short to be a dwarf

And too big to be a full-grown man

I covered the face with a quilt

Hoping it might be a scary dream.

Frantically called from phone

Nobody is interested in picking up the call

The creature knocked on my window

With a long nail and dripping drool

It's not an alien but a monster

Visited from nowhere waiting to come inside.

Glass cracked, the creature is on the bed

Heard the bones cracked

Mind raveled with countless thoughts

It's not a dream, no trick of the mind

Fear is on the rise, trembling breadths

Creature fingers ran free on my body

Opened the eyes, the monster watching closely from above

Waiting to devour me from head to toe...
