Echoing in the dark
Inaudible male voices
Seep through
Her spirit box
Broken tones
Play as tunes
So sick of love songs
The smell of cigarettes faintly lingers
In the air
A whiskey bottle
On her nightstand
Sat empty,
"so tired of tears"
Her eyes stare off
Into the unknown
...this dark knight
Stole her light
A thief
That
Haunts her through
The night.
