Infirmities
Infirmities
Now I know what blindness feels
One eye covered with a shield
Resembling one-eyed pirates
Waging wars on high seas
Now I know how it feels
Not able to write or read
Ears plugged listening to music
Twiddling thumbs doing nothing
Now I know what must go on
In the heads of those sightless born
Living in a prison of darkness
Being told of what's going on
Now I am more empathetic
Towards all with infirmities
Being handicapped is not easy
Overcoming it is a feat
