Inevitable Death
Inevitable Death
The death of his, over sixty
Healthy, wealthy spouse drowned
Him deep into the ocean of sorrow
Brought again alive on the surface
By the sea creatures from
The bottom, his wide opened eyes
Saw to their surprise Lord
Buddha the explorer of grief
Advising a woman who had
Brought her dead son, urged
The preacher to make him alive
Lord Buddha gently asked her
To bring a handful of rice
From the house in which
No death had ever taken place
The unfortunate woman wandered
Far and wide, had searched
Each and every, rich and
Poor house, but found
None, in fact in every
House the death was prevalent
Sad, dejected, tired woman
Returned empty hand to the lord
Who in consolation divine
Speech told her that
The death was inevitable
To all living beings
