I Will Overcome

I want to become a king, not jack

And I learnt to never slack.

So much has to been done,

But of real importance, there is none.

I have seen parents' eyes filled with tears,

It was a much painful sight to bear.

Everything seemed lost,

Even little thing had high cost.

But still I had this hope, 

That one day I will climb the success rope.

There were hurdles on the way,

Which weakened my hope and I strayed.

I remember my parents,

And the situation when I acted errant.

I left my dream,

Of becoming a streamer

I had a lot of fear,

When no money, no dear one was near

But I knew, for parents I have to live,

What I have taken, I have to give.

My hopes got a fill up, I attacked the source of trouble.

 And I learnt to bounce back, To lift a difficulty sack.

I want to become a king, not jack,
